Day 1: Oporto - Linhares - Trancoso - Penedono OR Lisbon - Piódão - Linhares- Trancoso
- Departure from Oporto: departure after breakfast (9.00 am) towards the Historical Village of Linhares, cathedral of the national paragliding. Walk in the village visiting the 13th-century castle, the Main church and mercy church. We move on to Trancoso where we can admire its city walls gates and walk around visiting its main monuments with highlight to the castle and its fortified tower, Nossa Sr.ª da Fresta church, ducal palace and the Casa do Gato Preto (House of the Black Cat) - one of the most important Jewish symbols in Trancoso. We continue to Penedono, with its beautiful pillory and pentagonal castle-palace. Accommodation.
- Departure from Lisbon: departure after breakfast (8.00h). The journey continues through Serra do Açor, with its untamable terrain. An inhospitable landscape and the green that insists on dominating the whole environment. Nestled on the other side of the mountain, the historic village of Piódão is surprising and seductive. It is one of the most iconic images of Portugal, with its schist houses with blue doors and windows, built around the terraces. Short pedestrian walk to get to know the traditional architecture - main church, the chapel of S. Pedro and chapel of Souls. Journey to the north, passing through Foz de Égua and entering the Serra da Estrela natural park to the historic village of Linhares. Walk around the village with a stop at the castle the Main church and Mercy church. In Trancoso we will visit the gate of El-rei, the castle and its keep, Nossa Sr.ª da Fresta Church, ducal palace and the Casa do Gato Preto (House of the Black Cat). Accommodation.
Day 2: Trancoso OR Penedono - Marialva - Castelo Rodrigo - Almeida - Castelo Mendo - Sabugal
- After breakfast, departure to the historical village of Marialva, a place of mysteries, legends and charms. Maria Alva was a beautiful princess who one day decided to give her heart to the one who would offer her a pair of shoes tailored to her feet. Short pedestrian walk through the pillory and the Casa do Leão, a 16th-century building. Visit to the historic village of Castelo Rodrigo. Short walk around the 16th-century pillory, the Main church, the medieval cistern and the remains that attest to the presence of an important community of new Christians. .
- Tour to the historic village of Almeida, famous for its star-shaped fortress. Visit to the historical village of Castelo Mendo, the village where the stones speak and where you will take a short walk. Departure to Sabugal. Accommodation.
Day 3: Sabugal - Sortelha - Termas de Águas Radium - Belmonte - Penha Garcia - Idanha-a-Nova OR Monfortinho
- After breakfast, a visit to Sabugal, namely the imposing castle with its signature polygonal tower. Next visit is the historic village of Sortelha, where you can feel the sensation of a journey through time, as the village has stood unscathed over the centuries. Then the abandoned Radium waters hot springs, where the radioactive waters were responsible for its peak, decline and abandonment in the 1960s.
- Visit to Belmonte the land where Pedro Álvares Cabral, the official discoverer of Brazil, was born and is buried. In Belmonte, there is an important Jewish community that testify the resistance of Sephardic Jews to religious intolerance in the Iberian Peninsula. Walk around the village and visit to the Jewish Museum, the first of its kind in Portugal, which shows the traditions and daily life of this community. We continue to the viewpoint of Penha Garcia. Accommodation.
Day 4: Idanha-a-Nova OR Monfortinho - Monsanto - Idanha-a-Velha - Castelo Novo - Lisbon OR Idanha-a-Nova OR Monfortinho - Monsanto - Idanha-a-Velha - Castelo Novo - Piódão - Oporto

After breakfast, departure to Monsanto. Decades ago Monsanto was chosen as the "most Portuguese village in Portugal". The rough nature and the human construction join in a harmonious combination, looking like a stone fortress. According to the legend it was here that Viriato resisted a seven-year siege by the Romans. Next stop in the small historical village of Idanha-a-Velha, which, during the Visigothic period, was the imposing city of Egitania. Short walk to visit the main church, the chapel of the Holy Spirit, the tower of the Knights Templar and the olive oil presses.
- In Castelo Novo we will walk around and visit the house of Lagariça, old council chambers and pillory. Next stop in the historic village of Piódão, one of the most iconic images of Portugal, with its schist houses with blue doors and windows, built around the terraces. Journey to the north, passing through Foz de Égua and crossing the natural park of the Serra da Estrela to the historic village of Linhares. Walk around and visit the castle the main church and mercy church. Return to Oporto.
- If the final destination is Lisbon, after the visit to Castelo Novo, we will return to Lisbon.
