Come and visit the “Aldeia Presépio” (Nativity Scene Village) of Piodão. Located in the Serra do Açôr, Piódão insists on remaining a secret. It dazzles us with its architecture, which so well exemplifies our ability to harmoniously adapt to the most inhospitable and also to the most sublime places. As if it were a nativity scene, the houses are distributed around the terraces, in which the blue and the schist are punctuated by tortuous narrow alleys, that hide the history of the village in every corner .

Morning: Oporto - Piodão
Departure from Oporto after breakfast. Taking the motorway to Lisbon, we get close to Coimbra, before catching the road to the Historic Village of Piodão, classified as "Area of Public Interest". Its schist houses with blue doors and rims on the windows give a dark and, at the same time, bright colour to the village that welcomes us with a beautiful white and blue church with cylindrical towers finished by cones. It is the mother church that looks like an invitation to enter a fairy tale. Lunch.
Afternoon: Piodão - Foz de Égua -Lisbon
Walking through the Serra do Açor, near the village of Piódão, we find Foz d'Égua where the Piódão Streams and Chãs d'Égua meet and their path is stopped by a dam, creating a water mirror and contributing to a paradisiacal place in the middle of summer. It´s an amazing place! The framing of the two existing bridges, the proximity of two shale mills, a press and the blocks of stones carved by the stream, allows its tourist use. Departure to Lisbon.
Would you like to include a horse ride on your trip? A jet ski tour on the river? Enjoy a relaxing massage in contact with nature? And why not a romantic dinner? Or who knows how to learn to dance the Vira Minhoto (Turns of Minho, a traditional dance)?
